“ If you want authentic Korean food that's been unadulterated or Americanized, this is the place to go. Came here on a Wednesday night we were the only ones in before the dinner rush. We actually came here because BCDs across the street was closed (I know is but I wanted something easy vs researching a place) and ended up here across the street. They're known for their gamja tang which is a super savory, rich pork back bone soup with some veggies, some potato and topped off with kaenip (perilla leaves.) This is authentic as you can get in my opinion. Also ordered mul naengmyun (cold noodle with the broth) and the tofu kimchi dish. Mul naengmyun was good! They give you a whole squeeze bottle of the hot mustard and vinegar too, so season to your delight. Kimchi pork: they give you a lot! I get this dish sometimes bc it's simple and reminds me of home but they always give like no pork belly and only a few slices of tofu, but their portion here is large. I wish the pork slices were a bit thicker, but that's fine. The gamja tang was really good. Broth was excellent, spicy, lots of meat in there, the bowl was big too, you can share. Service was fine. Typical Korean restaurant and left us alone for most part and popped in like once or twice to see if we're good. I personally like less interaction vs people who are in your face the whole time. I didn't even take a picture because it was all so good. I think this place might be better than Yangji gamjatang in LA ”

“ Agree with the other Yelpers, the best gamja tang in OC. For those of you who are not familiar with gamja tang is braised pork back ribs simmered in spicy broth. I highly recommend getting it here. The broth is very deep and delicious as it reminds me of Korea. We also had the spicy squid with the somen noodles. This also was very delicious and the flavors and spiciness makes you wanting more. I highly recommend getting both this and the gamja tang. ”

“ My boyfriend and I love to eat here! Whenever we are feeling sick or feeling some korean, this is our go-to spot. We always order the GamJa Tang meal, it comes with rice, side dishes, and vegetables. My boyfriend always finishes his bowl, but for me I always have leftovers for the next two days. The place is easy to find and we park behind the building. The workers there are always quick and efficient to the point where sometimes they're rushing us maybe 30 minutes before closing. Although we understand their urgency, we feel that we cannot enjoy or relax and feel like we need to rush and get out so they can close up as well. ”

“ I have been coming here for over a decade now, so this review is long overdue. The interior of the restaurant is clean and cozy. There always seems to be a steady influx of customers, but it never gets too crowded, which is nice. They have a small parking lot in the back, but some of the spots are hard to navigate into and out of. Service is overall pretty quick but not very friendly, unfortunately. I usually always have to flag down the serving ladies when I need something and they always complete it begrudgingly, My favorites are the chicken noodle soup and spicy beef soup--both of which are delicious, warm, and comforting. The noodles are perfectly cooked and chewy and the broth is simply amazing; I could probably drink a whole bowl of just broth. The shredded beef is tender and very flavorful and goes super well with the chewy purple rice. The portions are pretty big and very shareable. All the banchans are yummy as well, especially the kimchi. Highly recommend trying out this Korean restaurant! There has to be a reason why they have been doing well for so long (: ”

“ One of my best friends and I always get together for dinner to chat about life and give our thoughts on the foods we're about to enjoy. We both had the spicy pork stew. It comes topped with white onions and perilla leaves and a side of rice. We also ordered the seafood pancake, and there was a whole lot of banchan of which we cannot take home. Everything tasted so delicious and comforting. The servers were really nice. They came around quite often to check on us. The restaurant is of decent size but the parking lot behind the restaurant is small. There is street parking around the corner. ”
